If you have followed the Miss California vs. Perez Hilton saga, you probably won't be surprised to know how frustrated I am with all of it. I could go on and on about the things I think need said, but Dennis Prager hits the nail on the head many times over in this debate on Larry King Live:
Whose argument to you find most compelling?

I can't say that I would ever describe this as a balanced panel. Perez is COMPLETELY inane (yes, inane, not insane); and Dennis Prager is a well-read, thoughtful individual. While I do believe Prager speaks well for the conservative community, I don't think Hilton speaks well for the gay community. I'd rather see Prager debate someone of intellectual equal...or at least in the same ballpark.
Jay,
I agree with you that a vast intellectual imbalance exists between these two men, but I think it would be wrong to imply that Hilton's arguments are not spot-on with the key talking points of the LGBT agenda. Whether it's Prerez Hilton or Ellen or Gavin Newsome, the arguments ring similar to everything I have heard.
Like you, I would definitely like to hear someone much more compelling challenging Dennis. Hilton looks and acts like a sarcastic middle-schooler.
I truly dislike Perez Hilton. This interview was the performance of his life by half-way acting intellectual and not low class. Go back and find the soundbite from when he was saying how much he hated Miss California and what he would have done if she had won. There you'll see a true representation of him and the society he argues for.
A clear disconnect in the arguments is that the gay community things it's fine for the straight community to be strong-armed into changing their rules and policies like those on e-harmony that Dennis was talking about, but it's clearly not ok for the straight community to strong-arm gays into abiding by the laws and definitions that exist. How is that equal?
